Shipping Information


Thank you for shopping with Bayberry Cottage! To insure that yours is a smooth shopping and delivery experience, we have outlined our general shipping policies below.


Please note that we can only ship within the continental United States, Hawaii and Alaska.


Shipping Charges Within Continental US

Large, bulky items which require special packaging such as furniture, lighting, mirrors and such can only be shipped via our white glove service provider. Please see notations on individual items for shipping restrictions.


Orders From Alaska and Hawaii

If you reside in Alaska or Hawaii, please contact us and we can advise on which items can be shipped outside of the continental US. Furniture will require a specific estimate to your residential address. Any free shipping advertised applies to shipments within the Continental United States only. General Shipping Information

Each product page includes an estimated time that it takes for a particular product to leave the warehouse. This time must then be added to the projected ship time in order for you to get a general delivery estimate. In stock items normally leave the warehouse within 2-10 days of ordering unless otherwise posted on individual product pages. Heavy furniture or custom items may take up to 20 weeks. Freight Shipping Notes and Delivery Times

You can find a reasonable estimate of the product’s availability and an estimate as to when the item will leave the warehouse specified on every page. It is important to note that this is an estimated shipping time and cannot be guaranteed by Bayberry Cottage. Occasionally issues arise that are beyond our control that may lead to additional production and/or delivery time.


How to Receive Your Shipment

Generally, heavy items are shipped via common carrier (freight) due to their size and weight. When items are delivered via freight to a residential address, delivery men are not required to do anything other than to remove it from their truck. For especially heavy items, we recommend you bribe some friends with tasty treats to get the item put into its place.


In most cases, you will be notified when your merchandise arrives at the carrier’s location nearest you in order to set up a convenient time for delivery. Some furniture items are shipped separately and may require assembly.



We can arrange for “white glove delivery” (delivery into your home and removal of packing materials). Contact us to inquire about specifics of the service and to receive a quote. info@bayberrycottage.com / 269.639.9615.


Bayberry Cottage and our suppliers take great care in packing items to ensure safe transport to your home. Although these items are packaged carefully, in some instances transit related damage may occur. It is imperative that you inspect your order carefully when it arrives. Take the time to note any damage to the furniture and to the packing materials on the delivery receipt. Do not sign the shipping documents without recording details of transit damage. (For example: furniture is scratched, dented or cracked, fabric is torn, or the box is crushed, punctured or wet).


Upon inspection, if you find that your merchandise is damaged, you may choose to refuse the delivery. Damages must be reported to Bayberry Cottage at the time of delivery by calling 269.639.9615. We will be unable to assist you in repair or replacement of damaged merchandise if it is not thoroughly inspected and documented as described above.


Freight companies are instructed to deliver items during the time frame scheduled. However, if you find that your furnishings were delivered when you were not home, please do not move the boxes. Contact Bayberry Cottage immediately for further instructions. 269.639.9615


If you have plans to be out of town prior to the expected receipt of large or bulky merchandise, please notify us so we can contact the shipping company. Many local freight companies charge storage fees. Any storage fees will be the customer’s responsibility and, if charged to Bayberry Cottage, will be charged back to the customer. The fees may be as much as $75 per day.
